How it works

About The Overtime Pay Calculator

Overtime pay is the hourly rate multiplied by the overtime multiplier and the hours worked. At £14.50 an hour, six hours at time-and-a-half is £14.50 × 1.5 × 6 = £130.50.

There is no statutory right to a premium overtime rate in the UK — the rate depends on the contract. Average pay across all hours worked must not fall below the National Minimum Wage.
